  Mission
      •  Provide advice and consultation to the Surgeon General on issues relating to the professional
       practice and the personnel activities, civil service and Commissioned Corps of the Medical Category
    •  Provide advisory assistance to the Chief Professional Officer and, upon request, to the Agency
       and/or Program Heads of the Public Health Service, and to non-PHS Programs that routinely
       use PHS personnel
