• 6th
Precept is not approved and is not a part of PY 2007 considerations Posted
12/6/06
Email from RADM Bob Williams,
Chief of Staff, Office of SG, via NIH CC Liaison
•
The ASH (ADM Agwonobi) has disapproved
the 6th precept for 3H officers:
Isolated
Hardship, Hazardous, Hard to Fill
•
It is anticipated that the concept
of such a promotion precept will be considered
by
the Transformation Officers and OCCFM as they look to incentives for filling
3H positions in the near future.
•
The 6th precept is not approved
and
is not a part of PY 2007 considerations.

CLARIFICATIONS OF NEW ASSOCIATE RECRUITER PROGRAM FROM OCCO Posted 05/08/06
• Clarifications via CDR Narayan Nair,
Chair, PPAC Recruiting Subcommittee
•
Associate Recruiters (ARs) appointed prior to the effective date of these
new policies,
dated 4/03/06, are essentially "grandfathered" and are considered to have
met the
eligibility requirements.
•
However, every AR now needs to meet the new currency requirements in order
to
maintain their status as an Associate Recruiter.
•
Each current AR must participate in two
recruitment activities each year that meet
policy
requirements
•
These recruitment activities must be documented
to both OCCO and the PPAC.
•
New application forms and recruitment activity reports will be
forthcoming from
OOCO
that address these changes. Watch the OCCO website for updates.
•
In the mean time, Associate Recruiters should continue to officially
document all
recruitment activities by
--
Filling out the current Associate
Recruiter Activity Report Form and
--Transmitting the form to OCCO by fax or US Mail
-- Fax: 240-453-6127, ATTN: ARP
--

Rockville,

--Faxing
the form to PPAC Recruitment Subcommitte Chair (in addition to OCCO)
CDR
Narayan Nair, MD, fax: 301-796-9745
•
Until the Associate Recruiter introductory and yearly trainings
are approved and in
place,
no new Associate Recruiters will be appointed, since OCCO says it would
be
impossible at this time to submit a complete application packet.
•
DCCR envisions a web-based training program to be available soon.
•
In the interim, while training programs are developed, OCCO is requesting
that
officers do not submit Associate Recruiter Program (ARP) applications
to DCCR.
•
Until the introductory training is in place, OCCO requests that
you work to complete
the other requirements to enroll in the ARP (BOTC, IOTC, Basic Readiness,
etc.).
•
Once online recruiting training is available and you have successfully
completed it,
you
should submit your complete application packet
to OCCO either by fax or mail,
using the information above,
